AHR Initiative: US-L Watershed Boundary

The boundaries of the Upper Susquehanna-Lackawanna Watershed were determined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Upon petition by the Northumberland County Commissioners and the agreement of Congressman Paul Kanjorski, the Shamokin Creek Watershed was added to the Upper Susquehanna-Lackawanna Watershed for the purposes of the American Heritage River designation. Floodplain & Watershed Maps

This series from the Pennsylvania Marketing And Planning (MAP) Center shows details of the Q3 floodplain data for areas around the USGS Measuring Stations in the region. The large scale maps (1:50,000 approx.) are linked to the USGS database for each of the measuring stations.

 
 
American Heritage River Nomination - Cover Map

The map is a scanned copy of the original cover map created for the American Heritage River Nomination application. The copy is reasonably good, although it lacks the clarity and crispness of the original. This is the "normal" state of affairs between projected and print media at the present time.
